TAMAN NEGARA TAHAN, JERANTUT PAHANG

I'm Syafiqah. just to share some information and my experience about national park, Pahang.
This picture was taken at Taman negara. Taman Negara is one of the Oldest Jungle in Malaysia. Taman Negara was declared for conservation in 1938 and has become Malaysia's premier national park and the largest in the country covering over 4343 square kilometres of primary forest , spans across three sates Kelantan , Terengganu and Pahang. and is situaed in the centre of th Peninsula Malaysia. Taman Negara is the most extensive protected area of pristine, lowland, evergreen rainforest in the country. Taman Negara originated  from a Pahang tae Legislation in 1925 and in the district of  Jerantut. The purpose of Taman Negara in "to utilise the land within the park in perpetuity, for the propagation, protection and preservation of indigeneous flora and fauna".
 

There are many ways to go to this place. since I was from Jerantut, I can go here by car. It takes time around 1 hour to reach here. Another way is you can go by bus. But you have to take the bus at the Jerantut Town. Then it will brings you here. The last one is , you can take a boat from the jetty Kuala Tembeling and it will take you to the National Park. If you are taking a boat, you will see the beautiful view of Sungai Tembeling.

Taman Negara is famous with the Canopy Walkway. This activity can only be done during the day. For Saturday to Thursday, it will be open at 11am to 2.45pm. Whereby on Friday is will open from 9am to 12noon. If we want to walk at the Canopy Walkway, we have to walk through the jungle first to rach here. It is like we are taking a short jungle trekking. The cost to walk at the Canopy Walkway is RM5 per adult and RM3 per children. For your information, Canopy Walkway is only one way. Once you are walking up there, you  can not turn back. To passing through, the guide will let you go one by one in the distance 8 to 10 metres. The 45 meters high and 510 meters long walkway is the longest canopy walk in the world. The Forest canopy allows you to view the rich and diverse flora and fauna at the very summit of the forest. If you have not complete the canopy you have not complete Taman Negara.
At this hut, we can see the animal that only  going  out at night.
This animal is called Tapir. its body is in black and white.our guide said that this Tapir is tame animal. I am afraid to touch it because it was big. haha

this is rapidshooting activities. The boatman will bring you through the Tahan River, and they will let you fully wet. It was awesome for those who never  take a boat before.

At Taman Negara, there so many activities we can do here. For example, rapid shooting, Night Safari Walk, Jungle Trekking, Watching animal at night, and also you can fishing there. ! :)

Taman Negara also provides chalet, hostel and resorts at different rate. Various accommodation are available for the comfort of the visitors of Taman Negara, from budget hostels to lodges to luxury resorts to choose from. 

Here, they are provides many package for visitors. for example, Free and Easy Packages, Full Board and Guide Package, Full Guided Camping, Daily Coach Shuttle Service and so on.

Taman Negara also famous with the Floating restaurant that provides the most famous menu in Pahang- Gulai Tempoyak Ikan Patin. The Ikan Patin is always fresh because they have their own fishcages at the side of the Tahan River.

Taman Negara provides many attractives places for visitors to go sight seeing such as the Orang Asli village, Teresek Hill, Gua Telingga, Lata Berkoh, Kelah Fish Sanctuary, and many more. 

There are thousands facts of the great Taman Negara Tahan. So, dont missed to do visit here because once you were here, you will remember how awesome this place for those who love natural beauty.
