The Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah as known as blue mosque is located at Shah Alam,Selangor. It is the country's largest mosque and also the second largest mosque in southeast asia.The blue mosque is one of the most famous landmark in the city of Shah Alam.it is call blue mosque because the blue and silver dome is 51.2m in diameter and rises up to a height of 106.7m.There are 4 minarates with a height of 142.3m making them one of the world's tallest.the dome's outer surface is clad with vitreo us enamel-baked triangle steel panel.

There are two level main prayer hall is fully carpeted and air conditioned with the upper gallery reserved for women worshippers.its very comfortable and safety.The structure incoporates elemets of malay and islamic architecture.Fine decoration khat or Arabic calligraphy can be seen on the inner curve of the dome parts of the walls.the calligraphy work was done by egyptian calligraphy Sheikh Abdel Moneim Mohamed Ali El Sharkawi.

Besides,the others specials of blue mosque are aluminium grillss design can e found on the doorways,windows and walls of the mosque.The windows have stained glass that reduce the amount of light that can through the hall.The high ceiling has triangular panels of red balau and ramin timber wood that are in criss cross manner.

GETTING HERE : Take rapid KL bus number 6 or 338 from Kuala Lumpur and stop at the bus station near maybank building in Shah Alam city centre.From here,take a taxi to the mosque area.The other way is to take KTM komuter train and disembark at Shah Alams Station.From here,take a taxi and you will reach the mosque in approximately 10 minutes time.
